The Course

The Course
The Old Palm Golf Club is a unique 22-hole private golf facility. The centerpiece of the Old Palm Golf Club development is the Raymond Floyd designed golf course. This unrivaled 18-hole, par-72 course features a unique 19th hole, as well as a state-of-the-art Golf Studio, complete with three full-length practice holes. The resulting Old Palm layout will elipse most other Florida gold courses in design and construction standards.

Lush native landscaping and flowing creeks and water features will tantalize golfers' senses, while red "coquina" sand will enhance the dramatic and bold look of many waste-bunker areas. Classic-style bunkering with bold flashs of native white sand will complement the occasional stacked sod wall edges.

Raymond Floyd Signature Golf Course

Raymond's home course is expected to be a "player's club" with a very challenging layout from the tournament tees- a world-class golf course suitable for prestigious national and international events. Accompanying the strong tournament tee yardage of nearly 7,300 yards, will be a series of forward tees that allow the course to be set up for everyday play at 6,969, 6,621, 6,149 and 5,351 yards, respectively.

Raymond Floyd Signature Golf Course "Naturaly cometitive" will best describe Old Palm's layout, as the course will be designed and operated based on the reqirements for achieving Audobon International's Gold Level Signature Program Certification. Additional features of the course include a "no tee-time" poilcy, a caddie program and the 19th "bye hole" to settle any bets and add to the prevailing spirit of competition and sport. According to Scottish heritage, in many cases the distance from the 18th green to the clubhouse was unusually long on older link courses, usually because of topographic features. thus a shorter 19th hole, called a "bye hole," was often created to shorten the walk to the clubhouse.
